Colona Castle has been established to offer the discerning visitor a comfortably elegant base from which to explore the interesting and beautiful Cape Peninsula. Situated on the warm False Bay coast, Colona Castle is within easy reach of the airport and Cape Town city centre.

Situated within easy reach of Cape Town city centre and the airport on the warm False Bay Coast, Colona Castle, originally built in 1929 as a turreted and crenellated edifice, has recently been renovated in the Tuscan style and boasts a three story entrance tower. 

Poised for extraordinary sunrises, graced with magical light throughout the day, this enchanting site enjoys soft hues across sky and mountains at sundown before coming alive with the scintillating night city lights.

Renovated in the Tuscan style with luxurious furnishings and antiques throughout. In the winter months the house is heated throughout to make you comfortable. MOGUL SUITE - Executive Suite Twin bedded bedroom, marble bathroom en-suite with large open shower, a separate dressing room, a large lounge, and a balcony overlooking Table Mountain, Sandvlei Lake, the Peninsula and False Bay.

ENGLISH SUITE - Full Luxury Suite A twin bedded room, extra length ¾ twin beds, with two bathrooms en-suite, one with a large open shower and the other with a large Victorian bath. Separate lounge. Large balcony. Views across Table Mountain, Sandvlei Lake, Peninsula.

PENTHOUSE SUITE - Full Luxury Suite King-size extra length bed in the bedroom. A large library lounge, both leading onto an opulent private balcony. A marble bathroom with bath and open shower. Panoramic sweeping views of Table Mountain, the Peninsula and the sea.

For the more energetic, venture on picturesque mountain walks amongst the wild flora through the Muizenberg and Silvermine ranges. and on exciting rock climbing for the experienced mountaineer. Below, on Sandvlei Lake, there are many boating activities, such as yachting, windsurfing and canoeing. There are four golf courses within easy reach. Cruises or deep sea fishing trips can be arranged out of Hout Bay harbour. False Bay is famous for its whales and, at Boulders Beach, a colony of almost tame penguins are always on parade. The Cape Point Nature Reserve is within an easy driving distance with its selection of wildlife and birds. As a highlight of its outstanding hospitality, Colona Castle will prepare innovative Grande Cuisine for gourmet and discerning diners. Great emphasis is devoted to the creation of healthy and well balanced dishes where only the freshest produce is included.
