Seit der Eröffnung im Jahre 1872, wurde das Hotel Grande Bretagne auf Luxus und besten Service ausgelegt. Das Hotel ist das Eleganteste Hotel in Athen. Es wurde letztes Jahr komplett neu renoviert. Es wurde vorsichtig und unter dem Aspekt dem Hotel den Flair nicht zu nehmen renoviert.
