History

The original Hotel Royal opeed in 1896, providing accommodation for distiguished guests visitin the Millenium Exhibition. Spacious guest rooms faced the fashionable Grand Boulevard,already a symbol odf elegance and the city's main artery.Making use of the most advanced technology of the ear, the hotel offered thehighrst possible level of luxury, service and facilities. Location

The Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal is located in the heart of Budapest on Erzsebet Boulevard, district VII. The Hotel is within easy walking distance of Opera House, Majos Theatres and Attractions, close to the main business districts and shopping area and only 30 minutes, 18km, by car from Budapest Airport.

Supereior Guest Rooms As far as accommodation is concerned, we strive for the highest standards. Superior bedrooms have white doors and white wardrobes and medium cherry bed headboards, side tables and desks. All rooms have a trouser press. All bathrooms are ensuite and include hairdryer, telephone, bath with separate shower, radio, shaving socket and toiletries. Spacious, lavishly furnished, and tastefully decorated, a superior room is a place to dwell in while enjoying the most carefully chosen facilities.

Executive guestooms All rooms are located on the first and second floor with a view onto the Grand Boulevard or the Atriums. The room doors as well as the furniture are made of mahogany. The wardrobe bureau top is marble. All rooms are equipped with two telephones. All bathrooms are covered in marble and include a hairdryer, telephone, bath with separate shower, radio, shaving socket, and upgraded toiletries.

Making a Grand Entrance

The guest is met with a soaring centralatrium that rises six floors to a glass roof. At its base, a huge decorative mosaic flows across the lobby floor, echoing the art nouveau period and providing a breathtaking centrepiece to the space. To the left, the lobby lounge serves afternoon teas with the understated elegance of an earlier era. To the right, the lobby leads to a second atrium housing boutiques and small, specialist shops.
