The first acknowledgement about Villa Campomaggio is on the public register called Catasto Lorenese of 1776 and starting from then its history is a fascinating mixture of noble families’ stories and wine production.

Today, Villa Campomaggio has been restored to its ancient beauty, the redecoration having been respectful of the original character, but close attention has been paid to comfort and quality too: guests can enjoy the sun and the beauty of the landshape from the swimming pool, they can relax in the wellness area and can taste the gourmand dishes of Tuscany tradition in the restaurant located in the ancient cellar.

The restored Santa Teresa Chapel facing the beautiful garden is a striking solution for weddings and religious ceremonies.

How to reach Villa Campomaggio:

from north:

1. Motorway A1, exit FIRENZE-CERTOSA then follow signs to Siena on the right
2. After 22 Km exit at Saint Donato and turn left
3. After Saint Donato turn left to Piazza / Greve
4. Pass through Sicelle, Piazza and at the first cross road turn left following signs to Greve
5. After 6 km turn right to Lucarelli: Villa Campomaggio is 1 km ahead on the left side

from south:

1. Motorway A1, Exit Valdarno
2. Go straight on to Montevarchi - Radda In Chianti
3. When in Radda follow signs to Lucarelli
4. One km before Lucarelli, turn right to Villa Campomaggio

The estate is composed of an ancient Villa and of a "Borgo", a bunch of small houses that belonged once to the farmers.

The Villa, dating back to the late 18th century, has nowadays become Villa Campomaggio Hotel, Relais & Spa, while Borgo Campomaggio, just nearby the Villa, offers apartments perfectly equipped with every modern comfort.
