The Lapa Palace is situated on a hill overlooking the Tagus River and is set amid tranquil gardens dotted with ornamental fountains and streams and is surrounded by stately Embassy buildings close to the centre of Lisbon.

The Lapa Palace was originally built in 1870 as the main residence for the Count of Valencas. Opened in 1992 by Orient-Express Hotels as Lapa Palace Hotel.

The Lapa Quarter has steadily earned a reputation as the most fashionable area in Lisbon.

Food & Beverages

The gastronomic Ristorante Hotel Cipriani offers fine Italian cuisine. It opens daily for Lunch from 12:30 until 15:00 and for Dinner from 19:30 until 22:30.

The bright, glass-panelled Rio Tejo Bar is one of the most beautiful retreats in the City, ideal for a Business Meeting or for an informal drink on the Terrace overlooking the Tagus River. It has indoor and outdoor seating - open from 10:30 until 01:30.

The Poolside Pavilhão Restaurant & Bar serves alfresco light snacks and meals during the summer, with a Barbecue and Live Music until midnight on Wednesdays.

The Hotel boasts a fine Wine List with a careful choice of national vintages, a coffee list offering tastes and aromas from all over the world.
