Waldhaus Hotel

Hotel Overview

No doubt this is a grand Hotel. In many ways, the Waldhaus has never changed, never changed hands, nor given in to the temptation to diminish its old charms and comforts simply to satisfy its accountants such as reducing its great spaces to nothing, but profitable boutiques, meeting rooms and gourmet restaurants. In that sense, it is a living monument to the past, but it is also a place where you will want to spend a vacation.

Location

The Hotel Waldhaus is located just 6 miles from sophisticated St. Moritz, in a peaceful mountain village with wonderful ski runs, hiking and cross-country ski trails.

Rooms

There are ten room categories, and even within each category there are differences in size and appointments: new rooms and old ones (some even with the restored furnishings of 1908), rooms with balcony or without, with parquet floors or not, with a bathtub or a shower or both, and so forth.

Inevitably, there also are some Video Games; and you can borrow playing cards and board games from the cashier's.

The SILS Ski School has special children's classes Monday to Friday, including a Kindergarten on Skis for the youngest ones (where they can also stay for lunch if desired). To buy or rent skis or other equipment, contact one of the sports stores in town.

Food & Beverages

Variety is the spice of life and that does not have to end when you choose a meal plan. The Hotel devotes a lot of time and care to the varied, sophisticated daily menus, which range from traditional to modern, from simple to elaborate and always include vegetarian choices too. Generally, you will have several choices for each course; on other days and on a weekly basis, there are candlelit Gala Dinners with live music, Dinners with a Special Themes and Buffets or other special attractions.

Enjoy the à la Carte specialties in Arvenstube Restaurant. And in summer (weather permitting), you can have lunch outdoors on our romantic terrace in the park.
