Location

The St David's Hotel & Spa is situated in the heart of Cardiff Bay and is well serviced by all modes of transport. Cardiff Airport is almost 10 miles west of the Hotel, approximately 30 minutes drive.

Cardiff, the youthful capital of Wales is vibrant, but yet offers a setting for calm retreat away from the hustle and bustle of a hectic lifestyle. Cardiff is the cosmopolitan city, well served by its own International Airport, National Railway network and close to the M4 Motorway. The recently developed Cardiff Bay area, in which the hotel is located, is only five minutes from the city centre. Adjacent to the Hotel is Mermaid Quay, which offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and entertainment, providing a vibrant extension to the attractions within the city centre. The new Welsh Parliament and the Welsh National Opera can also be found there.

The National Museum & Gallery, located in the city centre, has the largest collection of Impressionist paintings outside Paris; the Millennium Stadium has established itself as a popular venue for major sports events and concerts is only five minutes from the Hotel by car; the quaint shopping arcades provide a glimpse of Cardiff's past and complement the modern shopping facilities now available. The surrounding countryside and the Brecon Beacons provide a picturesque perimeter to the city; it is worth making time for a tour along the picturesque coastline and around the numerous castles that form the heritage of Wales.

Of all the parts of Britain, Wales has maintained its historical independence and ancient Celtic mother tongue, which is communicated through nationalism of its people and in the elements of earth, water and air in its landscape.
