Antigua’s V C Bird International Airport is serviced by six airlines including American, American Eagle, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, BWIA, Continental, Air Canada,  LIAT and Caribbean Star.  Travelers entering Antigua require valid proof of citizenship.  Passports are recommended although an original birth certificate, along with a photo ID, is acceptable for American and Canadian citizens.  There is an additional charge for  departure tax from Antigua

After clearing customs, guests are greeted by Jumby Bay staff and escorted to taxis that take them the five-minute drive to the resort’s private ferry for a very brief (7 minutes) cruise to the exclusive island retreat

Location

Jumby Bay Island, noted for a landscape lush with tropical flowers, trees and foliage, is a 300-acre private enclave just two miles north of Antigua.  A haven for naturalists, the island features the Pasture Bay Beach, on the island’s windward side, home to endangered species of turtles, rare birds and sheep.

Food & Beverages

From traditional Caribbean specialties to newly inspired originals, Jumby Bay Island offers a variety of international delights. Open-air Verandah Beach Restaurant: For breakfast and lunch, casual light fare dinners and sunset cocktails, in this restaurant guests can enjoy ocean views.

Estate House: Dinner is served five nights a week at the historic Estate house. Jumby Bay’s signature restaurant located in a 230-year old English plantation manor.  Imaginative dishes reflect the popular cuisine of Europe, America and the Caribbean.

Bar:

The Estate House Bar  offer an ideal spot for evening cocktails. 

Gentlemen are expected to wear shorts and shirts at breakfast and lunch and long trousers and shirts at dinner time.  No jackets or ties are required.  Shorts are acceptable on Barbecue night.  Ladies may dress casually but bathing suits are discouraged during meal times.
