Hotel Overview

Welcome to the beautiful island of Crete! Blue Dome is located in the village of Platanias, not far away from the picturesque city of Chania. Blue Dome Hotel offers you the unrivalled Cretan hospitality and the feeling of being at home. The sandy beach and crystal sea in front of it, the tasty food as well as the comfortable apartments will make your stay an unforgettable one!

Rooms

Studio Apartment

The hotel consists of fourteen studio apartments of about 25sqm each, which are situated in the first building of the hotel’s entrance. Seven of those apartments are accessible for people with special needs or babies in carriages, through a ramp.

 

Each studio apartment consists of:

  • two single beds
  • one convertible sofa-bed
  • one marble bathroom with shower
  • hairdryer
  • bath amenities
  • kitchenette with all necessary utensils
  • refrigerator
  • two electric plates for cooking
  • coffee machine
  • double curtains
  • TV with local and satellite channels
  • 3-channel music
  • telephone
  • air conditioning unit
  • dinning table with four chairs
  • dressing table
  • closet
  • safety box
  • veranda with a table and three chairs

One-bedroom Apartment

The hotel includes twenty-four one-bedroom apartments of about 40sqm each. They are grouped into six buildings. A separate staircase serves each group of up to four apartments. People with special needs can have access to four such apartments through two ramps.

 

Each one-bedroom apartment consists of:

  • one bedroom with two single beds or one double bed
  • one living room with two convertible sofa-beds
  • one marble bathroom with shower (east buildings) or bathtub (west buildings)
  • hairdryer
  • bath amenities
  • kitchenette with all necessary utensils
  • refrigerator
  • two electric plates for cooking

Services

​ Two swimming pools, one large for adults and one small for children, are available. The surface area of the adult pool is more than 300 m2 and the water is 1.50m deep everywhere. The children's pool is 0.50m deep.

 

The pools and the area around them are cleaned and tidied daily. The chlorine and PH of the water are daily measured and adjusted. Both pools are open from 9:00 AM to 21:00.

 

The swimming pools with the sun-chairs and the umbrellas around them are free of charge (gratis). On the sandy-beach, in front of the sea, you can rent umbrellas and sun-chairs for the whole day.

Food & Beverages

The Bar is located around the pool area. It is an ideal place for refreshing cocktails, coffees, teas, fresh juices & smoothies, ice creams and snacks.

 

The Restaurant is situated in front of the sandy beach with a panoramic sea-view. Tasty and healthy food, mainly of Cretan cuisine as well as foreign dishes, are served daily. All dishes are based on olive oil and local products.

Served from 9:00 ΑΜ to 11:00 AM

 

Lunch:

Served from 11:00 ΑΜ to 5:00 PM

 

Dinner:

Served from 5:00 PΜ to 9:00 PM
