Residing in its own Private Park on the shore of the Lake, a unique location at the beginning of the fashionable Bahnhofstrasse and only a stone's throw away from all major cultural and tourist attractions.

Location

The Hotel is located in Zurich, Switzerland's Business and Banking Capital. Situated in a Private Park on the Lake at the beginning of the famous Bahnhofstrasse in the Business, Banking and Shopping district. It is close to all cultural and tourist attractions, 20 minutes from the International Airport Zurich - Kloten and 5 minutes from the Central Railway Station.

The Hotel consists of 125 Rooms, Singles, Doubles and Suites - Junior, Standard & Deluxe Suites.

The Suites at the Baur Au Lac match the lifestyle of its regular guests in both comfort and spaciousness. The decor exhibits lasting values, the materials are noble and the ambiance is light and welcoming. This is not just a place to feel at home, but a veritable residence. Over 70 Rooms were completely newly furnished in the recent rebuilding phase, each individually designed by the owner family. Every Room is different in shape, style and colour scheme. Generously sized and luxurious marble Bathrooms match the highest modern demands of comfort, design and equipment.

The 125 Rooms and Suites combine convenience with tasteful luxury. The security needs of the guests have also been taken into account, with an electronic locking system and modern smoke detectors. Deep-pile Carpets in the corridors absorb unwelcome sounds.

Each type of Room at the Hotel has its connoisseur. In terms of aesthetics and comfort, even the Rooms and Suites not affected by the renovation work are always up to date. Now, though, the design of no fewer than 70 new Rooms of varying individual character is at hand. The individual furnishings have been chosen in France, Italy and Britain and blended into a faithful stylistic concept.

Food & Beverages

Elegant summer Pavillon Restaurant with a Southern charm. Set between the Hotel's Private Park and the idyllic River Schanzengraben, Le Pavillion has a more Mediterranean atmosphere than anywhere else in Zurich. It is open from May to October.

Enjoy the perfect blend of creativity inspired by the Haute Cuisine under profound respect for traditions - at a Business Lunch or a Candlelight Dinner. The Restaurant Francais was only recently, discreetly renovated, daily it reinforces its reputation as one of the leading Restaurants in Zurich.

The Rive Gauche is the informal down-town Restaurant featuring traditional and classical dishes presented in a trendy manner.

Over hundred malt whiskies await the connoisseur in the Classic American Bar. It is open all year through from 11:30 to 24:00, closed on Sundays.

In the summer, the Baur Au Lac Park is the scene of a popular Sunday Brunch and more besides. Lake Zurich and the Alps form a unique backdrop for Family Reunions and Cocktail Parties. With the first rays of sun, La Terrasse beckons its guests to take a cool drink and a snack. In the evenings it becomes an oasis in the City, the ideal place to meet over an aperitif. It is open from May to September.

A place to meet in the morning, for afternoon tea, for aperitifs with business friends at the end of a working day, or just a quiet nightcap before bed. The Lobby - Le Hall reflects the international nature of the Hotel at any time of the day.
